Speaker Bio
Ms. Teanna Jones is an experienced Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) with over 18 years of experience in working with small diverse businesses and Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs). Ms. Jones has spent her career helping small businesses and HBCUs achieve optimal development and strategic growth when working with the government and industry. In July 2017, Ms. Jones was appointed as the Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) for Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS), Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). In 2019, Ms. Jones was also selected to lead Supplier Diversity for the Deloitte U.S firm practice. She is responsible for program oversight, company and supplier growth, compliancy, diversity, and establishing fair and equitable supplier policies. Her passion in advocating for diverse suppliers and HBCUs has impacted the small business community firsthand through mentoring and increasing their company revenue, capabilities and overall business infrastructure.
Ms. Jones also served on The Marshall Prime Contractor Supplier Council supporting the objectives of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Small Business Programs by sharing industry best practices, knowledge gained, and experiences that add value to each member's Small Business Program. Ms. Jones also served on the Advisory Board for Morgan State University’s Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center (EDAC), Bowie State University College of Arts and Sciences Board (CASBOA) and the District of Columbia Small Business Innovation Research & Technology board from 2011- 2016. She has been recognized with numerous awards from the government and industry on outstanding supplier partnership and is a sought-after keynote and panelist speaker for small business and HBCU forums. In 2020, Ms. Jones was elected as the President of the Professional Services Industry (PSI) group which is comprised of Supplier Diversity Directors from the “Big 4” consulting firms. PSI reports all supplier policy, procedures and trends to the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). During her spare time, Ms. Jones also leads the Homeless Outreach Ministry for her church.
