Lt. Col. Annie Kathleen Driscoll is the Commander, Headquarters Air Force Recruiting
Service, Detachment 1 at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. As Commander, she
leads a 500+ member Aviation Inspiration Mentorship team who inform, influence, and
inspire future Airmen to deliver twenty-first century airpower. She manages the Air
Forces $5.2M Rated Diversity Improvement campaign portfolio and leads the only Air
Force branded solo flight academy targeted at increasing flight exposure and opportunity
for underrepresented youth. She is responsible for inspiring youth and identifying
potential recruits by integrating, synchronizing, and collaborating with internal and
external partners conducting events and engagements across the nation.
Lt. Col. Driscoll was born in Bozeman, Montana. She attended Montana State University
where she studied Mechanical Engineering and earned her commission from ROTC in
2005. She then went to Undergraduate Pilot Training and selected to become a
Helicopter Pilot. Upon graduation she was chosen to be one of the first five First
Assignment Instructor Pilots (FAIP) developing the program at the 23rd Flying Training
Squadron, Fort Rucker, Alabama, instructing in both UH-1 and TH-1 Huey Helicopters.
She proceeded to RAF Lakenheath to fly the HH-60G Pave Hawk and became the Wing Chief of Flight Safety for the 48th Fighter
Wing and deployed twice to Afghanistan. The last deployment she sustained injuries in combat earning a purple heart. She
then moved to Nellis AFB, Nevada, where she developed the Director of Staff position for the 66th Rescue Squadron and filled
in as the Director of Operations for 6 months. She completed ACSC in residence at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, where she led the
Gathering of Eagles Foundation. Upon graduation Annie moved to San Antonio, Texas and took over as the Rescue/Helo
functional assignment officer at the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC). There she managed personnel, resources, and
experience levels in 5 unique MWS’s for 950+ officers and is directly responsible for $51.9M in programmed flying training. In
June 2021, Lt. Col. Driscoll will take command of the 368th Recruiting Squadron at Hill AFB in Utah.
Lt. Col. Driscoll is married to Lt. Col. Maxwell Harrell, an F-35 pilot and they have three wonderful children.
