Dr. Marc S. Shaver currently serves as the Program Lead creating the Defense Civilian Training Corps to establish ROTC-like units to address DoD’s critical civilian technology personnel gaps. Previously, he served as the primary advisor to the Air Force Airworthiness Authority and as a Plans and Programs Engineer at Headquarters, Air Force Materiel Command.
Dr. Shaver accumulated nearly 33 years of experience in weapon systems acquisition, test, engineering, and education. Previous assignments include experience as: the YF-22 Operations Engineer leading the Dem/Val test program; a spacecraft engineer developing new satellites and establishing the first space test organization; an operational test manager on the F- 22 and Joint Strike Fighter defining AF test and evaluation infrastructure investments; a strategic war plan analyst; and as an instructor/Department Head in systems engineering, test and evaluation, and airworthiness at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
